Big Changes Coming

To start off, I'd like to remind everyone that it is Zombie Awareness Month. Wear your gray ribbons proudly.

Second item of business is about the site itself. Thanks to a new friend of mine, Dave, and his personal company, Imprezza, Project Umbrella will be moving to a free dedicated server and stay there. This will mean no more slow periods, no more downtime, and the site can grow with impunity.

Along with the move to the new server, Project Umbrella will be undergoing a massive update not just to the infastructure but to its features and layout. There are a few end goals to this update:Click to Continue »

Keiji Inafune on Dead Rising and DMC's Future

Keiji Inafune has been talking a bunch recently and along with his recent comments on the possible announcement of Resident Evil 6 soon, he told 3DJuegos that they are going to give the next DMC game a "western touch" to attract customers from the western markets, mainly the US and UK. On Dead Rising Inafune made a rather bold comment about the goal being to make Dead Rising Capcom's leading IP in Resident Evil's place. He went on to say that the future of the franchise and it's spin off's will depend on Dead Rising 2's sales.

Resident Evil 6 Announcement Incoming ?

During a Dead Rising 2 promotional trip to Spain Capcom's Keiji Inafune commented on the success of Resident Evil 5 and made an interesting point regarding Capcom's will to release the next game as rapidly as possible. He ends by saying that they may have some news "soon". Soon could very well be TGS 2010 being held in Japan from September 16th to 19th.

Dead Rising 2: Case Zero (Xbox 360) available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace!

Xbox 360 owners rejoice and get your 400 MS points ready for some Zombie action!

Note: Only the New Zealand Marketplace seems to've been updated, but I could easily log in with my EU/NO account and buy it and add it to my queue:

Dead Rising Case Zero Delayed (In Japan Only ?)

Capcom Japan have announced that the Dead Rising 2 prequel "Case Zero" will not make it's scheduled August 31st release date, in Japan at least for now. No word on whether this delay applies to the other territories as well but we'll update as soon as some official confirmation is revealed. The reason for delay was given as inappropriate content in a trial version of the game, or something along those lines. No revised release date has been announced so far.

So far, we have the "The Birth of Leon's Handgun" section complete, revealing the history behind Leon's handgun and more details on Leon himself.

P.S. The "unrelated to Biohazard 4" disclaimer simply means that the actual story was written by the author, but the general scenario is still canon.

REmake Videos Delay

Due to a sheer lack of motivation and the tediousness of the recording/editing process, I'm delaying the REmake cutscenes for now. Instead, we'll go as we originally planned from the site's opening. All remaining games will be uploaded in chronological order, with Zero being next. Then REmake, RE2 and RE3 will follow suite. I will also re-do some of the stuff already on the site, such as the RE4 videos.

Sorry for the major delay. You have no idea how much I hate REmake right now.
