Development History
Developed by LivingMobile1, the use of i-Mode technology allows a local area network to connect groups of players into one network and work corperatively to solve the mysteries of Raccoon City. Players can team up from their cellphones to defeat Zombies and Tyrants as well. Furthermore players can trade information, weaponary and Green Herbs.2i-Survivor was never released in Western terratories due to the lack of coverage and the overall popularity of the i-mode service. With Wifi becoming a mainstay on many high end cellphones, i-mode has ceased to be an essential addition. The service was mainly used by MAC owners to sync their Notebook and mobile phone contacts.
The service went live in Japan in Spring of 2001, but it is unknown as to whether or not it is still operating.
Canonicity
Despite i-Survivor having clear and direct references to the main franchise, indeed it cites clearer than any of the Confidential Report games ever did, the fact remains, i-Survivor is a non-canon entry in the franchise. Developed by a 3rd party, and in this case, regular cellphone developer, LivingMobile, it is not an in-house title, and subsequently it has to be deemed non-canon.
