Leader: Morpheus D. Duvall

Title

Morpheus Followers

Morpheus Followers were a cult-like fanatical terrorist group that worshipped and were loyal to Morpheus D. Duvall, an ex-member of the Umbrella Corporation. They were obsessed with Duvall's thoughts on "beauty".

History

While employed by Umbrella, Duvall was successful in charming his subordinates and seizing power within the company. In August 1998, he was dismissed from the company after being blamed for the biohazard which occurred in the Arklay Laboratory. After his dismissal, his section of the R&D Department was abandoned by the company, allowing Duvall to take full control of the staff and operations there. Meanwhile, he began amassing a group of followers who believed in his ideal of a "Kingdom of Beauty" and hired African mercenaries. Eventually, both Umbrella and the U.S. Government began monitoring the group, with a spy from the Umbrella International Intelligence Department infiltrating the group to perform a long-term investigation.

On September 18, 2002, three samples of the "t-virus" were covertly stolen by the group from a safe where trial drugs were stored at the Umbrella Paris Laboratory. A few days later, the group was responsible for a bioterrorism incident on the "Spencer Rain" cruise liner owned by Umbrella. After easily capturing the ship and over-powering the passengers, Duvall released the t-virus and caused everyone on board, including his followers, to become Zombies.

Following the incident on the Spencer Rain, the group is believed to have been completely dissolved.
