Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (Biohazard 3: Last Escape) is the third chapter in the Resident Evil franchise. Many fans were consolidating their survival horror fix with Capcom's Dino Crisis when Resident Evil 3 was released. Initially planned as an early PlayStation 2 title, the game was eventually shifted back to Sony's first console. Returning heroine Jill Valentine makes her last escape in a more action orientated Resident Evil spanning four days of Raccoon City's outbreak. The unnerving presence of the new B.O.W. Nemesis keeps players on edge throughout the adventure.
Plot Synopsis
After narrowly surviving the mansion incident, Jill Valentine and her fellow S.T.A.R.S. members sought to expose the illegal activities conducted by Umbrella at the Arkay Mansion. Their pleas fell on deaf ears, as Chief of Police, Brian Irons refused to acknowledge their findings. Frustrated, Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield continued their investigations into Umbrella and soon discovered the G-virus project was in operation. At this point Chis Redfield left for Europe in a bid to uncover the European division's secrets, whilst Jill Valentine and Brad Vickers remained in Raccoon City.
Through the course of September 1998, many cases of murders and strange people in the outskirts of the city began to emerge, and by the 28th of September, the entire city was populated with the living dead. Jill, who had stayed in the city, needed to make her last escape.
