Sheva Alomar

Sheva Alomar was an SOA (Special Operations Agent) in the West Africa branch of the BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance).

She harbored an intense hatred for bioterrorism due to an incident in her past, but the actual event was classified within the BSAA due to her details being under a protection program. In order to disclose sensitive information on her past, the approval of three high ranked members of the BSAA with information access rights of level 8 or higher was necessary. 1 2 3

Past (1986-2001)

Alomar was born in 1986 to an impoverished African family in a factory town. The town’s factory belonged to the Umbrella Corporation, and was Umbrella Plant 57. As with many factory towns, this facility was its lifeblood and her parents were merely lowly employees. However, the income they received allowed Alomar to live a somewhat happy childhood.

In 1994, while Alomar played in the street with her friends as always, a siren from the factory tore through the air. An accident had occurred during a field test of a new B.O.W. (Bio Organic Weapon). Alomar's parents were killed in the process. Alomar ran to the burning factory but was faced with armed soldiers in gas masks, members of the U.S.S. (Umbrella Security Service).

She fled and managed to hide in her home with the help of a neighbor. Two days after the incident, Alomar was found and taken in by her uncle, who hoped for monetary compensation from Umbrella for her parent's deaths. The company presented no compensation, and Alomar was largely ignored by her uncle in favor of his own large family, and she was on the verge of starvation before she ran away into the savannah.

She was found by a member of an anti-government guerrilla group who took her in and provided her with food and shelter. He explained the truth behind the incident to Alomar, along with the fact that Umbrella worked with the government and made them mobilize the army in order to conceal the facts of the experiment by destroying the factory and the entire town. These revelations sparked an even greater anger in her against both Umbrella and the government, and she decided to join her benefactor's anti-government guerilla group.

In 2001, Alomar was passed a note in the street by an Englishman who asked her to come to a nearby church within two hours if she believed it. The note detailed the intention of her guerilla group to use large-scale biological weapon terrorism to overthrow the local government by purchasing the weapons from Umbrella, and that the deal between the company and the group was scheduled soon and they wanted Alomar's help in stopping it. She went to the church and met the Englishman along with an American man in a suit and no tie, an agent of the U.S. Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team.

Due to the deal, a certain Umbrella VIP appeared in the country. In order to arrest him, they wanted Alomar's help. They said that they weren't interested in the guerrillas if it was possible to arrest him. The suited man promised she would not be arrested or handed over to the government. Alomar agreed to assist, and three days later, a U.S. Special Forces team raided the site of the deal. She unlocked the entrance of the deal location's building and relayed the situation with a concealed wiretap to the Special Forces standing by.

The operation was a success. The Umbrella VIP was immediately captured and taken from the site. Alomar was arrested with her guerilla companions and taken to the American consulate, but her comrades were freed two days later. After making sure, Alomar got in a private jet prepared by the suited American agent. He gave her an American passport and became her guardian, taking her to America to begin her new life.

New Life (2001-2004)

Alomar received a thorough education in the United States. Intelligent to begin with, two years later she had enough academic ability to move onto university, where she mastered English within half a year. After graduating university, at the advice of her guardian, she enlisted in the newly-formed BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance).

Umbrella was eradicated, but her will was no longer tied solely to Umbrella. She harbored a deep resentment for bioterrorism. After finishing basic training after her enlistment, she was assigned to the West Africa branch and joined the SOU (Special Operations Unit) team led by Josh Stone. She completed her training through eight months of combat field experience and was afterwards selected as an SOA (Special Operations Agent), participating in operations throughout the world.

Uroboros Project (2009)

In 2009, due to her knowledge of the local area, Alomar was selected as the partner of Chris Redfield in the mission to apprehend black market bioweapons dealer Ricardo Irving. The two were assigned as Bravo Team and progressed with the mission, discussing their pasts and motivations and forming a solid partnership through saving each other's lives multiple times. Despite being ordered to retreat, Alomar chose to stick together with Redfield and continue investigating despite the BSAA's serious casualties. She was instrumental in saving BSAA agent Jill Valentine and the elimination of bioterrorist Albert Wesker.

Search for Redfield (2012)

In 2012, after the disappearance of Chris Redfield from an Eastern European hospital following a fatal BSAA operation in the Edonia Republic, Alomar sent an e-mail to his close teammate Piers Nivans offering the assistance of the West Africa branch and her personal help. She viewed Redfield as an important benefactor both to the branch, and to herself as an individual. 4
