I haven't checked the first issue of the manga yet, but if anyone want to discuss anything about it you can do it here. You can read the manga by going to http://1drv.ms/1BuHhij.

@Ridley - Thanks for the post. Hopfully this doesn't take two years to get released in NA. In the meanwhile hopefully soneone that can read Japanese/English can translate and put in on a doc file.

@Ridley - Thanks for the post. Any idea if someone has an English translation for it? As I can't read Japanese or Thai.

I don't think anyone is

I don't think anyone is translating it yet. I'll update here if I come across any English translation.

Thank you for posting the

Thank you for posting the issues.

Frankly, Marhawa Desire is a masterpiece compared to this shit. And all these shots on boobs and butts are really annoying and ridiculous.

What were they thinking ?

Things are getting

Things are getting interesting. Claire finds out that Spencer was at Tortuga Island (one of the islands where the events of the manga take place) sometime during the 90's.

Wow. I guess I should start

Wow. I guess I should start to pay more attention to this.

Now that is absolutely

Now that is absolutely fantastic.

Does this seem to confirm

Does this seem to confirm that "Ozwell" is an intentional misspelling?

In one frame this is more

In one frame this is more important than MD - great work Rid!

No. Just like how "The Umbrella Research Center" on the executive training center's rug isn't correct. You can't really trust a Japanese artist roughly translating into English.

Here's the translation for

Here's the translation for the pages Ridley posted.

Could it be...!!
Spencer......!?

This is very interesting, the

This is very interesting, the thing I dislike about these mangas is that they mostly get left out (or majority wouldn't know about them), and why wouldn't they include such crucial info in the game itself? hell even as a comic itself, really...

Also is it me or it's like they are ignoring these comics or just doing them and not caring enough about canonicity afterwards? I've not read the manga before so I will wait for a translation/full one.

I think "Ozwell" here was just based of on already existing official translation in this case, which the artist used.

Here's the translation for this page:

It's a Bio-Organic Weapon!

WOMAN
Bio-Organic what?

MAN
B.O.W.s were developed as weapons with horrifying combat abilities. Products like the Tyrant and Hunter were manufactured by the Umbrella Corporation.

Agreed. It was probably included in the official artwork.

Ridley, are there anymore pages with references to Spencer?

@Welsh, just these pages.

@Welsh, just these pages. They are from issue #8, which was released yesterday: http://1drv.ms/1bcnEmI

This week's Famitsu also has an interview with Naoki Serizawa and the REV2 team (it may shed some light into this stuff, who knows), which is here: http://1drv.ms/1BN9WRo

CLAIRE
A historiography on the island...

PAGE 122

CLAIRE
What's the evil that came to this island?

It was Americans that initially came.
In the 1930s, an American military base was built on this island. They needed a base here for uneasy global affairs.
The base is now a complete ruin...

CLAIRE
They're the evil?
Let's check a time a little closer...

PAGE 123

In the latter half of the 1990s, the ruined military facility was purchased by a businessman.
A research facility was constructed and many researchers migrated there.

Oswell E. Spencer
Umbrella Corporation Founder

This corpse that secretly controlled Umbrella despite being a shadow...
But traces of his ambition still plague the world...

CLAIRE
This island was Spencer's research facility...

Yay, another research

Yay, another research facility island. In the mid 1990's what else could he have been testing here?

It is most likely

It is most likely this.

Quote:
The research site I chose is a certain solitary island floating in the South Seas.
It was once a certain nation's military installation, but has been long-abandoned. Taking the researchers, equipment and several hundred test subjects, Alex went there.

Let's hope hey newsbot, makes

Let's hope hey newsbot, makes sense with rev2 connections.

It'd seem Naoki Serizawa

It'd seem Naoki Serizawa thinks the Southern Ocean (南洋 in the file) is somewhat warm enough to have a bikini contest. The truth is, the Southern Ocean goes from −2 to 10 °C (28 to 50 °F), making it somewhat cold. And it has the following range:

Which whould make the archipelago formation (Sonido de Tortuga Island and Zanahoria Island) very near Chile or Argentina, due to the hispanic names they have.

Now this is interesting, I

Now this is interesting, I thought it is the first island Alex was in too, I would be mad if this information is not somehow included in the game...

That Tortuga Island has a possibility of a biological hazard...

CLAIRE REDFIELD

She's survived biohazards many times starting with the Raccoon Incident. From her experience, she's been active in an organization that rescues victims of bioterrorism

INEZ
Have you found anything? Claire...

CLAIRE
Look at this fish's deformations Inez...
Seems it seriously injured the fishermen...

INEZ
Phew, wouldn't eat that sashimi... That's a virus' effect...

CLAIRE
This barracuda species lives only in the adjacent waters
...Along with another bit of info, it's possible that island is the source of the infection

The t-Virus biological weapon was the cause of Raccoon City's demise
It's now been used for bioterrorism in various conflicts

CLAIRE
Move!

INEZ
Roger. Leave it to me

CLAIRE
Marilou should come pick you up... Listen to her talk in-between first and...

Marilou was in the high school where me and Claire lectured on the threat of bioterrorism...
And we've been friends with her since...

CLAIRE
I'll try to get info on this fish...
That island's only several kilos across the sea from this island... I'll race to you right away if you need anything

Is the island in the comic

Is the island in the comic book the one that Alex abandoned?

There are two islands in the comic.

Sonido de Tortuga Island is the one Alex abandoned. Inez Diaco is investigating it.
Zanahoria Island is an island right next to Sonido de Tortuga. Claire Redfield is investigating it.

So, apparently this masked

So, apparently this masked creature is the husband of Marilou, the native girl:

Marilou's brother also disappeared as many of the villagers have. But seriously, what researcher would come up with 'why don't we put a couple boat screws in this B.O.W.'s hands?'.

And here's the interview between Naoki Serizawa and the REV2 team: http://www.famitsu.com/news/201503/20072641.html

Well if that BOW is a leftover from Alex's original reaserch, than it's grotesque form is most likely thanks to her obsession with Kafka.

Or its simply a case of Japanese weirdness...

Well, just look it those pipe like things... a prequel DLC based on this would be really nice...

Spoilers of issue

Spoilers of issue #11:

TerraSave people have a GPS Tracking app in their phones in case of emergencies. Inéz sends a SOS with it when she regains conciousness to signal Claire of her position on Sonido de Tortuga Island, but her phone gets destroyed by Marilou's BOW husband. Somehow, the Shaman can control the creature and attempt to use it to kill Inéz, Julie (a model) and Mike (the producer of the bikini show), only succeding with the last one... so far.

Just to make some sense out of it, I'd assume Claire and co. were stripped from their phones in REV2, and that Moira didn't have the app because she was just incorporated into TerraSave.

I figured there just weren't

I figured there just weren't any working cellular reception towers on the tiny uncharted island in the middle of what was presumably the Black Sea.
