I read that too, I guess that all Plagas originate from it. I wonder if this plant already existed at the time of Salazar's ancestors and was the true source behind the mysterious origins of Las Plagas.

I think it is meant all Plaga after the excavation come from it. It's just the Queen, probably used to "mass produce" the parasite.

I wonder, do the eggs injected into hosts come directly from the Mother? It is somehow capable of granting reproductive capabilities to regular Plaga, but why don't they all have that ability by default? And how would Plaga naturally infect others anyway?

A while ago, Famitsu ran a reader poll for most popular RE games and while you see some sites that have the top 10 list online, I don't think I have ever actually seen a scan of that article (or if there is an online source).

Here's the ranking, based on some sites:

1. RE1
2. RE4
3. RE2
4. RE6
5. RE5
6. Code Veronica
7. Revelations
8. RE: Outbreak
9. RE3
10. Revelations 2

Can anyone find a source?
I don't know the right keywords, since Google keeps getting me results for different kind of Famitsu polls.

It does not matter, since even you do not know. Hence, the source is unreliable.

But I read it here:

Absolutely unreliable source.

Ah, that's a roleplaying thing I believe. Fan-fiction.

Did you know?

Resident Evil was originally being developed for SNES but scrapped due to cartridge limitation and it was to be set in a 'hellish place!'

Koji Oda—director of Mega Man 11—recently sat down to discuss the new game with Game Informer and let slip the interesting tidbit. Oda said that when he first started working at Capcom, he was hard at work on Resident Evil for the SNES. Here’s what he had to say about it:

Honestly, I feel like I joined the game industry at the best time. Typically, games would take half a year and no longer than a year to develop, so I feel like I was able to take part in a lot of different projects. It’s not that well known, but before Resident Evil went to the PlayStation, I was working on it for the Super NES.

This was back before the name Resident Evil had even been assigned to it. The codename for this was literally just ‘horror game.’ On the SNES, we were working with limited hard drive space, so it’s not like we could dump a movie in there. If we had actually completed it on the SNES, I’m sure it would have been considerably different. For example, it was originally set in a place that had nothing to do with reality – more of a hellish place.

Really interested in a summarized chronology of RE1's development.

Regarding the source of the Famitsu user top-ten RE games, the source came from CVXFREAK (via Twitter).

CVXFREAK is a credible source but I'd really like to see the actual scan from the magazine.

EDIT: According to CVXFREAK's Twitter, there's an upcoming RE History book he's writing that is releasing next year. I can't find any official page about it. Can anyone point it out or give me more information?
Like, if the book is endorsed by Capcom or something like that?

You could ask him at biohaze

You could ask him at biohaze if you like.

I guess I could try that.

I guess I could try that.

I got a few questions. I

I got a few questions. I would be happy if the experts would answer me.

1) In which year did Umbrella enter the black market? Immediately after the destruction of Raccoon City, or later from the 21st century? It is said that many former employees went to the black market after the 98th year, but when did Umbrella? Closer to bankruptcy or immediately? By the way, where does the information that the former employees came to the black market after the 98th year? I only know Downing.

2) I read from you page that Lisa Trevor was introduced an improved T-virus. Where is it said? And does this mean that the G-virus has common roots with the T-virus (the whole Russian community is sure of the opposite)?

3) At what point did Tricell start activities related to viruses and B.O.W.? When did Exella Gionne lead the department of biological weapons, or much earlier? Could Tricell have been one of the companies with whom Umbrella collaborated? I quote your text:

"Due to Umbrella's outsourcing of development used to create biological weapons to other unwitting pharmaceutical companies, the entire industry suffered a severe hit to public relations and several companies were added as defendants in the lawsuits against Umbrella due to their unknowing involvement."

4) On the page of Fredering Downing in Wikia, I read this:

"Head Researcher Frederic Downing, had unleashed the virus on different areas around the world"

Does this mean that most of the bioterror referred to in the prologue of the "Degeneration" movie refer to Downing? However, is there any proofs that Downing committed other acts of bioterror, in addition to the incident at the airport?..

1) Umbrella was selling black

1) Umbrella was selling black market products before 1998.

2) Lisa Trevor received countless strains of the t-Virus which slowly evolved into the G-Virus in her body. As said in Wesker's Report I, the G-Virus is a "further development of the t-Virus."

3) TRICELL entered the B.O.W. black market in 2003. The pharmaceutical companies you bolded are unknown.

4) Downing was only involved in the bioterrorism in India and Harvardville.

I thought you told me at Biohaze that BOWs were not sold before 1998?

Not B.O.W.'s, no. But there

Not B.O.W.'s, no. But there were black market products. Javier purchased the t-Virus in 1991 from an Ashford family researcher, for example.

You mean the strain used on

You mean the strain used on Hilda? Was that just regular t (at the time) or an experimental strain for curing disease, like the one used on Dorothy?

The t-virus wasn't a marketed product yet, was it?

It was presumably an

That's what I thought. The

That's what I thought. The fact Hilda recovered for a bit without becoming a zombie long enough for Javier to repeatedly inject her supports the fact it was an alternate strain, like with Dorothy.

Can someone explain who exactly Tanya was? Who Alfred thought the real Alexia in cryosleep was?

Also, why was Alfred trying to recreate t-Veronica with t?

According to "common

According to "common knowledge", Code VERONICA was "originally going to be RE3" but it didn't happen because of "a contract with Sony".

I think News Bot already explained the "CV was supposed to be RE3" misconception but any idea where the "contract with Sony" story come from?

Someone's fantasies. Just one of those near folklore level things that gets passed around so much it becomes fact.

I bumped into another person

I bumped into another person who belived in "RE6 will attract COD fans" and just a while ago, someone posted a link to his old thread from 2013 about how he tried showing "support" for Capcom by making people aware of the "$152 million left in bank" story (it never happened).

One of these days, I may wanna start a big list of clickbaits, misconceptions and fake news.

Remember how "I will commit

Remember how "I will commit seppuku" gets incorrectly translated as "I will cut off my head"?

I wonder if other Mikami interviews are translated correctly.

1. The interview where Mikami called REmake a "commercial failure". It can't be a commercial failure, since REmake actually sold almost twice its targeted sales back in 2002. Is it possible that Mikami said something else?

2. In the 90's Mikami referred to the first person RE1 as a "Doom clone" in a few English language interviews. Was "Doom clone" something he actually said, even in Japanese?

Why wasn't Code Veronica

Why wasn't Code Veronica given a numbered title? It has never been considered a side game, to my knowledge (which is admittedly hazy in this area).

It made more business sense to have 1-3 on one system.

The Umbrella Co.'s article of

The Umbrella Co.'s article of the website states the following: "Using her skills Wong was able to escape the facility despite orders from the facility's chief of security Albert Wesker to kill all escapees."

Is this information from a reliable source? Just asking cause it's something really interesting.

I checked it out, and one of the first things I noticed was an article attempting to explain the name Dr. Salvador, and used Ozwald.

So yeah. Don't know much about it, but that particular glimpse didn't look good.
