Hello all

In the recent Capcom's Q&A for their Fiscal year 2017 , They said a very interesting point that made me think about making this thread , In their Q&A they said :

"The lifecycle for games is growing longer, driven by ongoing digital sales; as a result, Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 have each sold more than 7.5 to 10 million units cumulatively (including catalog and re-release sales) "

Well, That changes everything , The only Official source we have for RE games sales where the Platinum page or any recent FY Results and according to the platinum page fr only listed results  , RE6 is #1 at 7.8M ( 6.8M PS3/X360 and 1M for the officialy listed Remaster ) RE5 is at #2 sold 7.2M ,  and RE4 is nearly at 6M ( 2.3M PS2 , 2.0M Wii and 1.6M Gamecube )

With Capcom saying that each of these games sold each between 7.5M and 10M , There are two points that needs to be addressed

1- ) For the games with months late PC ports , Does the PC Sales counts as a Separate SKU or they are inserted in the Vanilla SKU ? I found a big difference between games that had a months late PC port and Games that had a day one PC Version , For the former they list the games as "PS3/X360/DL" and examples for that are RE5 , RE6 , Vanilla DMC4 , RE:ORC , Dead Rising 3 , Lost Planet 2 , DmC ( A nearly two weeks late port ) , Street Fighter IV , SF X Tekken , but for the later it listed it as either "PS3/X360/PC/DL" Or "PS4/X1/PC/DL" like in the cases of RE7 , Remake Remaster , 0 Remaster , REV1 , REV2 , Dead Rising 2 , Remember Me , Street Fighter V ? So I hope we get a clear answer on this

1- ) What is the sales for each game's non listed edition/ports ? ( Assuming PC Sales is a Separate SKU )

RE4 = PS3/X360 Remaster + PS4/X1 Remaster + Steam Ultimate HD Remaster + Old PC Port + IPAD Version ( If that is     counted as a full port )

RE5 = PS3/X360 Gold Edition + Steam Release ( SteamSpy had it at nearly 900K ) + PS4/X1 Remaster + GFWL Version

RE6 = Steam Release ( Steam Spy had it nearly at 1M but it might be little Off )

And in your opinion , What is the game that reached 10M out of the 3 ?

I don't know about sales numbers in specific but Resident Evil 5 is Capcom's best seller of all time.
