I've been meaning to create this topic for a long time.

BIO HAZARD 2

The license plate of Leon's jeep reads, 'Raccoon, IJ52639'. The highway sign reads, 'Raccoon City, * Miles, Before'.

The garage bin in the opening movie reads, 'Dellacona, 388-6945'. There's a cinema and store called 'Ringling and Bro' nearby.

The sign of Taxago reads, 'Service you can trust'.

A street sign in the opening movie reads, 'Crascent St.'.

There is a cigarette ad for 'Malerich' that appears several times in the opening movie.

The sign in the opening movie, 'Place du President Mithouard, 1914-1919' is an actual sign in Paris, France. (see previous forum topic)

The name of the diner Claire visits is 'Emmy's'. 'Yago's' is written on the awning. Their special is one drink and one donut for $1.25 (regular $1.50).

The license plate number of the police car in the opening movie is '022297'. It may be a reference to an event that occurred on February 22, 1997 during development.

The building 'Advanced Graphic Services, Shipping and Receiving Dept.' appears in the opening movies of Biohazard 2 and 3.

The trailer truck crashes on E 89 St. and Leon and Claire get separated on Bear St. There is also a Raccoon St. in the same direction.

In Bio Hazard 2, the crashed helicopter on the rooftop is shown in the S.T.A.R.S. photo. The serial number is N21R.

BIO HAZARD 3

In the opening cutscene, the telephone number of Grady's Inn is '212-38*-*905'.

In the opening movie, the pilot says, "This is chopper delta. Preparing to drop off in area E95070, over." This is probably a reference to U.B.C.S. Delta Team.

In the opening move, R.P.D. special forces set up a barricade in front of 'Johnson National Bank.' The licence plate number of the police van is 950129. The numbers on the roof of the police cars are 102, 803, 184, 323, 171 and one unidentified.

The zombie dogs in the alley behind the post office probably came from 'Eagle's Pet Shop'. The window is broken.

I believe Brad Vicker's S.T.A.R.S. ID Card number is 0359. Its blurry.

On the epilogue files screen, Ennerdale St. has been changed to Camden St.

There are several signs that read, "Raccoon/Veronica, Catholic Student Center".

The bookstore on Fission St. is called 'L.E. Books'.

There is a Raccoon Bus Line on Fission St. and next to Stagla Gas Station.

A store called 'Dairy Fresh Foods' is located next to Jill's apartment.

The Raccoon Post Office is located on E. 63 St.

The clock near the trolly reads, 10:30 p.m. It seems accurate, but the description says its broken.

Raccoon Shopping Mall is also written Raccoon Shopping Hall.

'Juicy Raccoon' is the name of some vending machines.

The sign on the arm in the post office parking garage reads, 'Credit Card Payment, Receive Full Charge'.

There are three information signs in the hospital lobby.

INFORMATION (Lobby)

There's another sign in the rest corner, but I can't decipher the text.

The clock in the Hospital reception room reads, 1:30 a.m.

The lockers in the staff lounge read, 'Joe/Michael, Wills/John".

Tyrell commits suicide in the "Data Room".

There's a S.T.A.R.S. cup on the shelf above the sink in room 401.

The clock in the Dead Factory reads, 4:25 a.m.

The sign in the basement of the dead factory is misspelled 'Contorool Room'.

There are seventeen stops on the Raccoon Bus Line route.

The sign in the Sales Office reads, "Resident Evil, Approved".

A license plate reads, "25648". "956432", "845757".

There's a Super Tyrant action figure in the boutique.

H.M. Perfume.

There's a picture from Back To The Future 3 in the S.T.A.R.S. office.

There's a Kendo Gun Shop van outside the gun shop, on the street in front of Bar Jack and in the parking garage.

The company 'Kura Hashi' in the Sales Office and various areas is a reference to background creator, Yuki Kurahashi. In addition, the logo appears on the back of Jill's alternate biker costume.

There's a picture of Ebola virus on the bulletin board on the wall behind the electron microscope in the laboratory.

In addition, there is also a picture of Dino Crisis in the hospital. It can be seen only in the cutscene that you enter the hunters. The picture is on the board facing the entrance, and after this cutscene you'll never see it again.

Thanks BioTech! There's also

Thanks BioTech! There's also a B.O.W. reference in Dino Crisis.

Project Omega once told me he believed every scene in Biohazard was inspired by a movie. Some of these include Terminator, Alien, Jaws, Robocop, Psycho, Night of the Living Dead, Mission Impossible 2, Predator, Jurassic Park, The Fly, etc.

Here are a few of I've noticed:

In addition, the scene in Predator where Dilon's arm is blown off was used in the opening of Outbreak. The Alligator scene in Bio2, Jaws. The elevator scene in Bio0, the Fly 2. The background of the lab in Bio1.5 was taken directly from Aliens. Wesker's movements in Bio5 were inspired by a creature in X-Men. The main inspiration for CODE: Veronica was Alien: Ressurection. RE2/3, Terminator movies. The opening scene of Raccoon in Degeneration was inspired by Terminator 3. etc.

EDIT

Whoah, this is some freaky

Whoah, this is some freaky shit.

RE2 & 3 were inspired by Terminator? Pretty cool. Maybe that's why the Terminator theme works so well with Mr.X XD

Lets Play Resident Evil 2 and 3 is a screenshot by screenshot walkthrough of RE2&3, with a wealth of screen grabs of key locations within the series.

I noted some of the interesting things in this thread:

http://www.capcom-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3601

Names of shops (that are also names of developers, etc), types of cars, etc, etc, etc.

Also, I'm gunna throw this out again:

CA 336458

Has anybody figured out what it means yet? If anything? It appears far too many times throughout the series...

I think "CA 336458" is a

I've been trying to figure it out for years, and if it's something that simple I'll kick myself...

Hey guys, just found something interesting. May be you've known but still I think I should post it  here.

At the top of this picture, the Chinese words reads "战斗回路",which means "Battle Circuit", it's an arcade game from CAPCOM.

At the right bottom is a poster of Robcop.

The words on the picture at the left bottom reads "Yuki VS Kurokyoxxxx", seems to be a poster of wrestling match, can't be sure. Can anyone see it clearly?

AND...is that boxer on the boxing poster from Street Fighter?

Nice work, Biotech! The

Nice work, Biotech! The Robocop reference is of particular interest.

CODE: Veronica

- There are several typos, but the description on 'Medical Liquid A', 'B' and 'Hemostatic Medicine' reads, "This medicine in blood belongs to a man whose blood type is O type because the man who can use this medicine must be the same blood type O." Therefore, Rodrigo's blood type must be O.

- The description on the desktop background for the 'Umbrella Workstation' reads, "This product is protected by US and International copyright laws as described in the outbox."

- The self-destruct system is called, "Emergency Destruction System".

- The two papers in the CODE: Veronica file read: Code Veronica File, Super Man Data.

- "Two Year Anniversary of Radical Paint!" is written on the envelope.

- The description on the silver key reads, "YET is in the House, Tap the Bottle".

- Several notes about the Training Facility refer to Framlingham Castle, Suffolk.

- The font of the 'Access Control System' and 'Umbrella Identification Card' seems to be the title font for the remake, made in advance.

I'm curious about this

Lots of good information

Lots of good information there. I noticed there is Japanese/Chinese writing on Kendo's Truck in RE2. The only visible writing is two letters, can anyone translate?

Nice find, Richard. -) It

Nice find, Richard. -)

It reads "無人" and  means "Unmanned", can't see the small characters aside. And it would be helpful to figure out what this refers to if better quality is possible.

Thanks for the translation. That's the best quality I can get, and I tried both the psx and pc version. I've also found a few others that I will post.

First a very obvious one I didn't realise until I got the PC version of RE3. The bike in the first alleyway after the warehouse has the RPD badge on it.

BioTech's post with all the posters has the same poster that is in Kendo's Shop. The two magnums, top left.

The the poster on the left here is upside down. The heading is at the bottom, and the text is going from right to left.

In RE2 the basketball court at the start has the graffiti "Above The Rim", a reference to the basket ball movie called Above The Rim released in 1994. Also on the same court is more graffiti, "Blood on the Dance Floor", perhaps a reference to Michael Jackson's Single that was released in March 1997.

The Above The Rim is repeated in RE3, so far in the warehouse and where the zombie cops break the barricade.

Good observations. But I

Good observations. But I think you meant March 21, 1997 when talking about Blood on the Dance Floor, there's no way it could be a reference to a future event; don't know why you said May 2007. The last pic of Above The Rim is what some fans believe to be the store, though there's no way to confirm or deny that. The poster of the other RE3 pic repeats itself through out the game.

Yeah that's what I meant, don't know why I typed 2007. Since the 'Above the Rim' banner is above the store it must be the location.

In the outdoor court above,

In the outdoor court above, there's some hasty-looking graffiti which says "THIS TOO SHALL PASS."  No way of knowing, but I like to think it was written after the zombies showed up and everything started going to hell.

Great!! And here is another

Great!! And here is another "Above the Rim" poster -)

@ Hieronymus, it's also

@ Hieronymus, it's also written here:

Don't know what could it mean.

In Hebrew traddition, "This

In Hebrew traddition, "This too shall pass" is effectively a proverb, that suggests all things non~spiritual, {whether these be negative, or even positive states} are temporary, and thus doomed to fall at some point {in contrast to God's kingdom}.

Perhaps an optimistic call of hope by the besieged of Raccoon City.

{Ridley the resolution of that screen shot above is so clear....nice one!}

Finally, something from

Finally, something from Jewish culture has penetrated into the realm of Resident Evil. I know in my Parasitology class that our professor is often raring to say "This too shall pass" concerning parasites that initiate self-limiting or transient infections.

I've also noticed quite a

I've also noticed quite a few posters/signs are back to front.

Example, No Smoking Poster on the train in RE3.

That Emblem is the one used on RE1 and REmake as the Spencere Family Emblem. Welsh made a thread about it a while ago.

A modified version appears in RE3. The image on the shield (top left) is of Neuschwanstein Castle. Impossible to tell other than the fact the same texture appears in Alexia's bedroom in CODE: Veronica. In addition, there's a sign across the emblem in BH3 that reads, "Veronica Catholic Student Center."

In addition, here's the background image of Chris' epilogue in the original Biohazard.

"The image on the shield

"The image on the shield (top left) is of Neuschwanstein Castle."

On the shield? Only things I can see on the Shield are three Liz Flowers, a castle -which I don't think it's the Neuschwanstein Castle- repeated two times and those two animals (Chimeras?).
