CITY GUIDE

City Guide: Mayor's Comments
~History of Our Mayor and City~

Greetings to you, dear citizens!
Raccoon City offers its residents outstanding safety and security. Raccoon City is the city which attracted the factory of the ubiquitously clean company, Umbrella.
A large amount of donations from the company have been generously invested into policing and the construction of welfare and public facilities.
1992, which marked my fifth year since becoming Mayor, was a memorable year for Raccoon City. The deteriorating city hall was renovated with Umbrella's donations, and a modern general hospital was built.

Brief notes on the Raccoon Forest surrounding Raccoon City.

Official Transcript

A large forest on the northern outskirts of Raccoon City. Includes the Arklay Mountains. A rich habitat, home to a multitude of the area's woodland creatures. The abundance of life in the forest is one contributing factor to the rapid widespread dispersion and mutation of the virus resulting in a biohazard.

The Arklay Research Facility and Management Training Facility both lie within the forest.

MONEY SCOPE

August 1, 1998
ECONOMIST MR. CLARENCE RUNNING FOR CITY COUNCIL

Popular economist Mr. Joel Clarence (48) of the bestselling book "The Back of the Coin" hinted at his candidacy for the next municipal election in a public debate program.
He said "There's no joy greater than returning my knowledge and experience toward citizen interests" and though calm, he presented confidence and strong motivation.

Will he blow new wind on the piling up problems of the municipal administration, including the continued rise in unemployment and slowly advancing issue of social welfare? Keep an eye out for him in the future.
